First day postmark: Transshipping Endeavor & satellite Background story: On May 30 will be sent to the International Space Station, the transship Endeavor from the Kennedy Space Center, in the Mission named STS 111. In this mission will fly Dr. Franklin Chang-Díaz, borned in Costa Rica, reconized physicist of plasmas and a veteran astronaut of the NASA, who will do his 7th fly as Mission Specialist. This Mission will last 11 days, 19 hours and 4 minutes. In this trip Franklin Chang and Phillippe Perrin will install and remove some equipment pieces to continue with the assemble of the Space Station.
On December 1986, astronaut Chang-Díaz did his first voyage and maybe he never imagined that on 2002 he will passed over his own Guinness record of space trips. Costa Rica congratulates him and wish him big success in this, his Seventh Mission. Motif of the envelope: a Photograph of costarrican astronaut Dr. Franklin Chang-Díaz and logo of the Endeavor Mission. The cancelation of this envelope will be during the conversation between the President of the Republic, Dr. Abel Pacheco and Dr. Chang Díaz.
