On 14 November 2002, the Ministry of Post and Communications of the Czech Republic  issued a commemorative postage stamp with a denomination of CZK 9.00 to mark the summit of the top representatives of NATO in Prague. The stamp bears the logo of the summit, a part of which is the date of the meeting, the 21st - 22nd November 2002. The stamp is completed with text 'The Summit of NATO in Prague' in the Czech language.

There is a First Day Cover including a commemorative cancellation, the cachet of which is a graphical composition of the towers of Prague Castle and the arches of the Charles Bridge with the logo of NATO, completed by the text 'The Summit of NATO in the Czech Republic - the First Time in a New Membership Country'in the Czech language. The cover is printed by recess print from flat plates in blue.

The stamp is valid for inland and international postage from 14th November 2002 onwards.
